2015 USPSF Application Deadline – November 15th, 2015

The application and video submission deadline for the 2016 USPSF Championships is November 15th, 2015.

We have added the Amateur division to our championship line up for this coming spring. 

The Amateur division provides an opportunity for athletes who are not quite ready for the Elite Division, yet who would like to see how their performances would be scored against the ISPF code of points, to compete.

The amateur division does not require a submission video; applications will be accepted and the division will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis until the division fills or until the application deadline, whichever occurs first. This division is for athletes who have basic experience and who are able to choose elements with low to middle technical values, may apply to participate in the amateur division.

No applicant is allowed to enter the Amateur division if they have:

  • Competed in the Professionals or Elite division in any past years of any national IPSF competition and/or
  • Placed in any past years of a national IPSF competition in the top 3 places in an Amateur division and/or
  • Is, or has been an instructor/teacher/trainer in the pole sport/pole dance area/
  • Received financial compensation for pole performances or promotions

Amateur Categories:

• Women (18+)
• Men (18+)
• Juniors (14 – 17)
• Novice (8- 13)

Amateur athletes must perform:

  • 3 strength elements
  • 3 flexibility elements
  • 1 spin on a static pole
  • 1 spin on a spinning pole
  • 1 dead lift

Other divisions include the Professional and Elite.

Professional Categories:

• Women (18+)
• Men (18+)
• Juniors (14 – 17)
• Novice (8- 13)

Elite Categories:
• Seniors Women
• Seniors Men
• Masters 40+
• Masters 50+
• Doubles Mixed
• Juniors (15 – 17) *age as of July 2016
• Novice (10 -14) *age as of July 2016

WHAT IS THE USPSF CONFERENCE?

The USPSF Conference is a four day event that includes the 2nd annual USPSF Championships, pole and aerial workshops, cocktail parties, and the Studio Owner Symposium. This event will take place at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL February 24 – 28th, 2016.

OUR MISSION

The mission of the Studio Owner Symposium is to empower studio owners in the pole and aerial community to become a strong, unified and powerful small business industry. It was created to bring together like-minded pole and aerial studio owners who have a passion for the growth and development of pole and aerial education.

This conference puts the top priorities into the spotlight, by providing a platform where key issues for business growth and development of the community can be discussed and debated. Business seminars will include industry leading speakers, and many perspectives together to give a voice to all sides of our business issues. Attending the Studio Owner Symposium gives you access to experience and perspectives of many different facets of the small business owner, along with the challenges you face and gives you the tools, strategies and best practices to compete successfully in today’s changing business environment.

The USPSF Conference promises to give studio owners and pole/aerial enthusiasts alike the motivation and inspiration they need to re-energize their passion for the sport and the business of teaching pole and aerial arts.

EVENT/SYMPOSIUM GUIDE
Each full attendee will receive an Event/Symposium Guide which includes seminar notes direct from the teachers and guest speakers. This way, you can enjoy the session instead of trying to write down everything the teachers/speakers say! The Event/Symposium Guide also includes exhibitor contact information and the USPSF Championships Program. The Event/Symposium Guide is a great reference tool all year long!

USPSF Championships 2016

 

USPSF Championship 2016 FLyer

The U.S. Pole Sports Federation is proud to announce the 2016 USPSF Championships will be held at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL on February 26th and 27th.

The USPSF Professional Division Championships will be held on February 26th, and the Elite Division Championships will take place on February 27th, 2016.

The USA’s top athletes will take part in this groundbreaking event to see who will be crowned the US Pole Sports Federation Champion and win a place at the World Pole Sports Championships (WPSC) in London, July 2016. The top two athletes from each category that reach 20+ points will go on to represent the USA against 30+ countries at the WPSC16.

The ages of competitors range from 10-65 years old. The Elite Championships will have 7 divisions competing including: Men, Women, Novice (10-14), Juniors (15-17), Masters (40+), Masters (50+), Mixed Doubles

Divisions and Categories Offered

Professional Division

On Friday night we will hold our Professional Division. The Professional division provides an opportunity for athletes who are not quite ready for the Elite Division, yet who would like to see how their performances would be scored against the ISPF code of points, to compete.

• Juniors (14 – 17)
• Novice (8- 13)

Elite Division

On Saturday night we will hold our Elite Division. This division is for top athletes who are able to choose elements with the highest technical value and who strive to compete with other top athletes and become part of the national team to represent the USA.

Elite Categories:
• Seniors Women
• Seniors Men
• Masters 40+
• Masters 50+
• Doubles Mixed
• Juniors (15 – 17) *age as of July 2016
• Novice (10 -14) *age as of July 2016

Who can compete?

• Championships and/or
• Athletes who have placed twice in any past years of the Professional division of the US Pole Sport Federation Championships
• Athletes who have received financial compensation for pole performances or promotions.

A video submission video is required for the Elite Division. 

Elite athletes must perform:
• 4 strength elements
• 4 flexibility elements
• 1 spin on static pole
• 1 spin on spinning pole
• 1 aerial dead lift

USPSF @ Pole Expo 2015 – Las Vegas

This past weekend, the 4th annual International Pole Expo took place at the Hard Rock Casino and Resort in Las Vegas.

The USPSF hosted a seminar on the future of pole, announced the spring 2016 conference and studio owner symposium, and featured USPSF champions – Rafaela Montanaro, Greta Pontarelli, Samantha Starr,  Mary Serritella and more – who shared their experiences with competing in the USPSF Championships.

The discussion was well received by the expo audience, and the buzz and excitement for 2016 was growing!

The USPSF Conference & Studio Owner Symposium dates and location were announced during the seminar, and those interested in participating were directed to the new website and the USPSF social media pages for updates and information.

USPSF Championships 2018

We are excited to host our 2018 Championships at the USPSF Conference at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL.

USPSF Championships and Pole Art America will take place March 23rd-24th 2018 at the Robinson Theater, at UNF. Pole Art America will be on Friday March 23rd, and the Pole Sport Championships will be March 24th, 2018.

Application dates for the 2018 USPSF Championships will open July 1st, 2017.
